Newhaven Art Projects is organised by artists Nick Marsh and Helen Turner. They are engaged in their own art practice in Newhaven and have exhibited throughout the U.K. and abroad, gaining collective and significant experience working with communities and curating exhibitions. Artist and educator Nick Bush has helped deliver previous Newhaven Open Calls.

Nick Marsh graduated from Brighton Polytechnic and was awarded an M.A. in Fine Art from Wimbledon School of Art and has taught in Secondary, Further and Higher Education sectors. As a painter he works from a studio in Newhaven and teaches and facilitates art education for community groups.

Helen is a graduate of Canterbury College of Art and undertook Postgraduate study at Cyprus College of Art. She has over twenty years teaching experience in Further, Higher and Adult Art Education and delivers many sessions each year to a wide range of our community groups.

Nick Bush is a graduate of The Glasgow School of Art and holds an M.A. in Art History from The Open University. He is currently teaching in Secondary Eduction as well as delivering workshops for adults.
We believe in building partnerships and facilitating connections whilst increasing the opportunity for everyone to have greater access to Art and education, particularly those disadvantage through circumstance. We welcome collaboration and aim to have a tangible impact on the regeneration of Newhaven.
