UPCOMING EXHIBITION – JEREMY MOON
We are delighted to be presenting the work of Jeremy Moon in Newhaven Art Space. Moon (1934 – 1973) was a pioneering and significant figure in British painting and this exhibition celebrates his legacy and ongoing influence on contemporary abstraction. This is also the first time that Jeremy’s work will be shown alongside that of his son, Robert.
Join us for the exhibition opening on Thursday 8 May, 5 – 8 pm.

NEWHAVEN ART SPACE…. a High Street gallery and project space for the visual arts

We are developing and delivering programmes of cultural activity made by and for the communities of our town whilst supporting artists. Pay us a visit and become part of our community. Check gallery page for exhibition dates and opening times.

Since 2018 we have run scheduled art programmes for local communities, especially those disadvantaged through circumstance or on a path of mental health recovery.
The most recent Newhaven Open Call exhibition was held in September 2024 over two sites in Newhaven Town Centre. Over 220 artists took part and fuller details of the exhibition can be found on the Open Call page. The Open Call provides an opportunity for artists to come together, exhibit and be part of a wider community and curatorial event. It was also on Lewes District Councils ‘Artwave’ trail. We intend to run the next Open Call in winter 2023.
